all being well, we will launch on Thirsday and shortly after, once we’ve checked things are working OK, put up the sails and checked out, we hopefully will be heading off for Grenada. It’s only a short passage (about 80 miles as the crow {or pelican} flies) but it’s advisable to keep well clear of the oilfields so the normal route is to head east just offshore of the northern coast of Trinidad for about 15 to 20 miles before setting course north-west for the south of Grenada. Sounds like a good idea but unfortunately it means a close-hauled sail into the winds; both pretty slow and VERY uncomfortable!! Ah well, here’s hoping my stugeron still works, otherwise Chris will be doing nearly the while trip on his own.
So. cheerio for now – we’ll be back soon.
