MERRY CHRISTMAS
(Dashed off earlier to get some veg without posting so sorry this is up so late!!!)
Life carries on as usual here but it seems really strange that it’s Christmas time – the weather is still very warm although it does now cool down a little as the sun goes down (about 6.00 o’clock) and I quite often need to put an extra layer over my T-shirt if we are staying outside especially if the wind is blowing!
Chris has been working hard using his lathe (a small metal turning lathe her has on board) to adapt some fittings we bought at a boat jumble (before we left England!) to make his spinnaker pole easier to use. He has had it out in the cockpit so there has been no room sit outside while he has been working. This means that once I’ve been shopping all I can do is to sit in the bar!!!
Hard times eh?
Whilst there, I have been doing some adapting myself; back in the UK I bought some cross-stitch kits to do in my free time and 3 of these were Christmas designs so I have adapted parts of these to make some “decorations” using a bundle of additional thread I had bought in a ‘pound shop’ in the UK to use as sewing threads!!! The idea was inspired by Audrey from Sarah Giddings who last year knitted her Xmas decs!! Unfortunately it has taken a little longer than I hoped and I have only finished Father Christmas and a snowman (see them above!). I had hoped to get quite a bit done whilst there but on Sunday I was next to a group from Brighton so inevitably I talked rather than stitched!!

I’ve also put up some lights along the boom so it looks really cheery from the pontoons and I’ve got out my other decorations bought in Las Palmas (2013), Vila Real (2012) and the little tree I bought from England!
We’re off out tonight to the marina bar as they are putting on a Xmas dinner and will meet up with the Brighton crowd (now only 3 as the others flew back to the UK) and as there are quite a number of English voices around we hope to meet up with some others also out celebrating. Unfortunately a smashing Aussie couple we went out with left soon after as they must get across to St Lucia as they are meeting up with their daughter as soon as they can!!!
Must dash as time to go - I've a couple of pictures to add but will have to do them another time!!!!
Cheerio for now and again have a wonderful time!!
